Riya is a 5th-year (MS3) student in the 6-year BA/MD program at UMKC, originally from Denver, Colorado. She has a special interest in immune-mediated diseases and how they affect the skin, and she enjoys learning more about the intersection of dermatology and internal medicine. Riya is passionate about patient care, medical education, and being involved in meaningful community work. Outside of school, she enjoys solving puzzles, trying new restaurants and recipes, and watching movies.
